I have been using this lamp for a few months now. It provides a nice soft glow, bright enough for reading but not so bright that it is annoying. For my purposes it is just about the right size for a bedside lamp. The pull chain is easy enough to access that I can still manage to turn it off after I wake up and discover I fell asleep while reading.To be honest I forgot that the base had USB charging ports until I just re-read the description. I suppose this is due to the fact that my bedside table also has USB charging ports that I was already using. But you just can't have too many USB charging ports!I would only change a couple of things. Fist, it comes with an incandescent bulb. IMHO these are obsolete so either ship it with an LED bulb or nothing. Second, I would like the shade could be a little sturdier. It really isn't that flimsy, but I tend to knock it off the table from time to time. So far it has held up fairly well, so this is really a minor consideration.Overall I am satisfied with this lamp and would buy it again.i bought this lamp for the living room. where it will be on a lot at night. it is simple and works well. the usb ports are handy since you can never have enough of them. this lamp is simple, and compact but fills the need well. looks nice too.Bought this for my daughter’s apartment at college. It has been great for her to plug her phone in to charge. Provides great amount of light. Very stylish, easy to put together and lightweight. Highly recommended!These lamps are fantastic for guest bedrooms and offices. My guests loved the 2 usb ports each and not having to search for an outlet. They look cute on the nightstands. My husband also has one in his office. Very convenient. They are easy to put together.I'm going to buy more of these for Christmas.These are great. I love the bacc with the USB holes.
