Having to assemble the lampshadeSo easy to put together and they look great.I think these lamps are amazing for the price. I was concerned that the shade would be cheap looking, but it's great. I love the velcro edges that perfectly align the shade to the frames.Although I like my lamp a lot my wife who has osteoarthritis has difficulty reaching uo from bed to turn it off and the decorative nut on her lamp no longer clamps tight so her shade has been unsteadyi and wobbly until today I took a decorative nut from a different older bedside lamp in our second bedroom that clamps well so her lampshade is now not wobbly any more and I will see if I can match the faulty decorative nut at Home Depot maybe tomorrow when I will also buy an online. on off switch that is advertised on the Home Depot website for $2.60 to make it easier for my wife to turn off the bedside lamp when in bed.bedroom bedside table lampsThese are gorgeous lamps just the right size for the night stands in our bedroom. The base has a USB charging port and the lamp base is a beautiful nickle finish and the shades are a perfect scale for the lamp. When I unpacked the pair of lamps I was dubious about how the shades arrived. There is a top and bottom metal framework for each shade and the shade fabric is rolled up. I thought... "oh no... some assembly required. This is not going to be good." But the shades were a breeze to put together,. I think the instructions may be from version 1, because they mention a clip and there is no clip involved with this version of the shade. Both the top and bottom framework have some slightly tacking adhesive on the edge where the shade goes. You simply get the top and bottom frames aligned with the top and bottom of the shade material and roll it up, making sure you keep both frames right at the edge of the shade material. It's easier if you have someone help you. Once you have rolled up the shade all around the frame the shade has a hook and loop (velcro) closure that seals the shade into a complete unit. The result is a great looking shade that was able to be shipped much more safely than a typical shade. Don't be afraid! You can do it. Great lamps!I read the reviews and yes the shades come rolled up, but they are so easy to put together and look amazing in the bedroom!I've had them for a couple of months waiting to see how well they were working . So far, so good. I've read other reviews regarding the shades. All I can say is that putting them together on a large, hard flat surface makes it very easy to do. I do like the USB ports, I've used the for the phone and my e-reader and have had no issues regarding charge time or any weird or negative effects on the devices.Still I feel that they are not the highest quality and have a very light weight, kind of cheap feel to them.But they do look nice and are getting the job doneI love the look of these lamps and that they were easy to assemble (the shades took a little doing but in the end they turned out great). I was surprised that I had to put them together. But like I said they are great lamps for the price. All in all a good purchase!Son bonitas y se ven elegantes.
