The wicks which are included in the package are huge compared to the holes in the porcelain tops. The wicks may be perfect for lanterns or lamps, but not for the porcelain tops provided in the package. It took quite awhile to force the wick up through the porcelain top. I think this kit calls for smaller, round wicks, not wide, flat wicks which should be used for lantern (feeds).
