My office is a bit dark and I battle with migraines so I purchased this to add additional light to my workspace. It has been a huge lifesaver. Most of the time I use it with the arms straight out to add ambient light, but when I need a little extra reading light, I can move the arms in wherever I need them. My only complaint is the base is lightweight, so you have to hold the lamp down in order to move the arms. Otherwise I am pleased with this purchase.The only issue I had with this light was that it was too short. I had to get a base for it to sit on and wow, perfect!!!Got this for my office. Lights up desk well but not the room. Would by a floor lamp over this next time but it has good colors and it Works. It’s adjustable good for what it is. Got the largeThis is even brighter than I was expecting. I needed something for my craft table. I have no overhead lighting in my room and it was really dark. This light is perfect for my L shaped desk and lights up every inch and is high enough to be out of my face. I can also bend it out of the way if I need to. I purchased and returned 10 other lights before finding this one.My initial excitement about this light was immediately ended by the very weak mounting bracket.The depth of the bracket doesn't create a stable mount for this top-heavy device.I buy a lot of lights. I have had a lot of lights that once they arrive they aren’t what I expected. Very different in person then in pictures on line. Well this desk light is a lot better in person. It really serves us well for working, drafting, drawing, sewing, reading. I like the level of light control it offers, how it dims, quality of hues. It’s very pleasant. It also helps me get great lighting for live Zoom meetings. The light swivels and you can under light your face, as well as have one on the side, so you can achieve better lighting if you want to look more natural on a zoom meeting. I didn’t buy it for that but it’s an added bonus. That I can adjust a light under my iPod, under the camera and my face, out of frame. And it looks so much better than over head lighting that causes shadows. I also like that if you have two people working at a table one person can use on side and swivel it while the other person another side. Low energy usage a bonus. Modern Scandinavian design ascetic. I bought two and will buy more for other homes and business as this light is the perfect balance of form and function.I didn't take into consideration the height of my large monitor so this is unable to sit on the desk top behind the monitor.I solved it by placing it atop a plastic storage container.It could also be brighter.This lamp not only swivels in different directions, but you can changed the hue of the light to protect your eyes. It truly makes a difference. Most desk lamps advertise USB connections and the like. I have them on my PC and don't need more on a lamp. The other lamps also never have a long enough stem to get them up over your monitors and the base is so small, the lamps get knocked over. Then they are always in your way. This one fits nicely between my two monitors and reaches over the top. The base is slim and never gets in the way; but its wide enough to give the lamp stability. You do not have any screen glare from the light. I usually rotate it towards me when I want more light on my desktop area for depositing checks remotely or similar things. I bought another for my son because he like it so much when he saw it on my desk. It will be the last lamp you buy.
