These were a replacement for one I'd had that got broken when hit by a thrown book. At the time, there was a good bargain on two. I decided it was time to get rid of the big clumsy swing arm lamp that didn't provide the light I wanted and was hard to move to the exact position I wanted it without it becoming unbalanced..
